No matter if it is while we are watching television or a quick bite to and from picking the kids up at school, we all love snacks. We can’t get away from that fact. So why fight it? Our whole life we have been told that snacking is bad for us. It will ruin our appetite, it will make us fat, it will break us out in pimples.

Call for calorie information on menus
Cafes, pubs and restaurants have been urged to display nutritional information on their menus by a food watchdog.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said it was in talks with 50 of the biggest food chains about the move – with several already signed up.
Officials are hoping calorie labelling will start in the summer.
The call comes after surveys showed the public wanted more information about the food they buy.
In June, an FSA poll of 2,000 people found 85% were in favour of catering outlets displaying nutritional data.
The best way to lose weight – Set achievable goals
When thinking about losing weight, define what your real goals are. Do you really want to weigh less, or do you actually want to feel more confident, be fitter, or look good in certain clothes? You may find that adopting a healthier lifestyle and increasing your exercise doesn’t actually change the figures on the scales, but that you have more energy, have less body fat and start to look more toned and firm. Set positive goals, rather than just wishing there was less of you. This really is the best way for you to lose weight and maintain that weight loss.
Paul McKenna: I Can Make You Thin US airs in UK
LIVING presents the UK premiere of Paul McKenna’s brand new show, which was filmed in the US. The statement ‘I Can Make You Thin’ has to be one of the most effective, attention-grabbing titles ever given to a TV programme. And it comes from probably the biggest name in hypnotism and self-help.
I Can Make You Thin aims to help people lose weight by encouraging viewers to follow four simple rules, which Paul insists can work for anyone who isn’t happy with the way they look and feel.
“Only 6% of people realise being fat isn’t healthy”
I heard this amazing statistic on the news today.
Chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson said only 6% of people understood the health risks of being overweight.
“Many people see fat as a vanity issue rather than a health issue and they need to see it as a health issue.”
What?
Now I can understand people (myself included) being overweight and not being happy about it, but do people really think there are no health issues related to being fat? Talk about burying your head in the sand!

Fat March USA
I just finished watching “Fat March USA”, a six part show on Channel 4.
12 Very obese Americans walking from Boston to Washington DC, 575 miles. Only 6 finished, but the show was very inspiring to watch…literally watching these 12 whinging fatties get slimmer before your eyes..most lost around 50 lbs, some as much as 80lbs, and they all were transformed in their attitude and looks.
They walked on average about 10-15 miles per day, but one day did a full marathon distance, 26.2 miles, but two of them walked another 7 on top of that to catch up with the group.
